New ACL website goes live

The ACL’s new website was ‘soft’ launched this week. It was previous chairman Sue Nash’s idea to relaunch the site, and she helped push it forward during her time in office. Tabitha Creasy in the office has done a lot of work in managing the content, while Council member David Wright played a key role in completing the project.

All Costs Lawyers and trainees have been sent an email with their username and password. The new forum has not yet gone live, but it will be available soon.

Jackson to headline National Conference

Lord Justice Jackson, who is due to deliver his report on fixed recoverable costs by the end of this month, will make the keynote speech at the ACL’s National Conference. It takes place on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 October 2017 at the Park Plaza London Riverbank Hotel.

Bookings are not yet being taken, but details will be the website once more speakers are confirmed.

Still time to vote

The ACL has sent out voting forms for the vacancy on the ACL Council. They must be received by 12 noon on Tuesday 25 July. There are three candidates: Claire Green, Oliver Horsepool and Jason Osborn. If you have not received your voting form, contact enquiries@costslawyer.co.uk.
