Bill Drafting Workshop

2.5 CPD Hours

This is a practical seminar where you'll gain hands-on experience of working with the new ACL electronic bill of costs.

Attendees will draft a bill, consider some variables and look at some common problems that may be faced. You will be given a file to cost including both hard copy and electronic time records. You will gain benefit from working collaboratively with peers on allocating phases, task and activity codes. 

We will guide you through some of the problems that may be encountered when drafting the bill so you know what to expect and how to manage the process to ensure a satisfactory outcome for you and your client. Following the session you will be equipped with the knowledge of how to address problems independently or how to best seek support by accurately articulating the issues you are facing to the ACL technical team.

Topics you'll cover during the session include:

•      Setting up a bill
•      Manually populating the bill
•      Importing data into the bill template
•      Editing protected sheets on the bill

For use during the session you are required to bring a laptop with a version of Microsoft Excel installed.

Seminar ends: 12.15pm
