The ACL London Annual Costs Conference is back

and in person on Thursday 25 November 2021

Early bird booking offer - Book by 22 October to save £40

With new guideline hourly rates in force, an expansion of fixed costs on the agenda and a never-ending stream of important costs rulings, there is much that anyone working in the costs world needs to know about. And, at long last, you can combine it with the chance to catch up in person with friends, colleagues and even opponents from across the costs world.

We are proud to announce that the Master of the Rolls, Sir Geoffrey Vos, is giving the keynote address, three months after approving the new guideline rates and ordering a further and more fundamental review of them in the next two years. This is an unparalleled opportunity to hear from the Head of Civil Justice on the future of costs.

The day is packed with a host of other eminent speakers to inform, enlighten and entertain you; as ever, it will end with our popular judges panel, where you will get the chance to ask SCCO judges and regional costs judges whatever you want.

Also back by popular demand is our gala dinner – a chance to dress up and party the night away after the conference with friends and colleagues whilst enjoying a fabulous dinner at the brand new Westin London City hotel.

Confirmed speakers include:-

  • Keynote address by the Master of the Rolls, Sir Geoffrey Vos

  • Master Victoria McCloud
  • Master Jennifer James
  • District Judge Ian Besford
  • Kevin Latham, Deputy Costs Judge and barrister at Kings Chambers
  • Professor Dominic Regan

  • Roger Mallalieu QC, 4 New Square
  • Margaret McDonald, Head of Civil & Costs at Kenworthy's Chambers
