The consultations page has useful links for those looking to research consultations that may help on particular issues in legal aid. There are also links to specific consultations on legal aid that explain the reasons given for specific parts of the legal scheme and arrangements, and views expressed by the legal profession when they were being created, such as the family fixed fee schemes and revisions made to them upon the introduction of the single family court, and the conditional funding arrangements that were introduced for judicial review cases. Where a written response has been made by the Association of Costs Lawyers (and previously the Association of Law Costs Draftsmen) this can be found with the links to the applicable consultation.
