Mr Browne added: “I am delighted to be joining 39 Essex Chambers at a key stage in my career. I have been aware of the increasing quality of the chambers for many years and the impressive support given to its members by the excellent clerking and administration teams.”

Senior judges update e-bundle guidance

The senior judiciary has issued general guidance “to ensure a level of consistency in the provision of electronic bundles for court hearings (but not tribunal hearings) in a format that promotes the efficient preparation for, and management of, a hearing”.

The guidance, which is subject to any specific guidance by particular courts or directions given for individual cases, replaces previous guidance published in May 2020. It was issued by Lord Justice Haddon-Cave, Senior Presiding Judge, Family Division president Sir Andrew McFarlane and Mr Justice Johnson, judge-in-charge of live services.
